Permission bug loading neo4j jar file

Reported by Andreas Ronge | April 8th, 2010 @ 07:09 PM | in 0.4.2

I just noticed that after reinstalling the neo4j gem, I got the
following error

/opt/jruby/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/rubygems/custom_require.rb:31:in require': no such file to load -- neo4j/jars/neo4j-kernel-1.0 (LoadError)

   from /opt/jruby/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/rubygems/

custom_require.rb:31:in
require'

   from /opt/jruby-1.4.0/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/neo4j-0.4.1/lib/

neo4j/jars.rb:
4

   from /opt/jruby-1.4.0/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/neo4j-0.4.1/lib/

neo4j/jars.rb:31:in
require'

   from /opt/jruby/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/rubygems/

custom_require.rb:31:in
require'

   from /opt/jruby-1.4.0/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/neo4j-0.4.1/lib/

neo4j.rb:
8

   from /opt/jruby-1.4.0/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/neo4j-0.4.1/lib/

neo4j.rb:36:in
require'

   from /opt/jruby/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/rubygems/

custom_require.rb:36:in require'

This was fixed by modifying the permission settings on the neo4j-
kernel-1.0.jar file as follows:
sudo su
cd /lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/neo4j-0.4.1/lib/neo4j/jars
chmod a+r neo4j-kernel-1.0.jar
